I was really bothered by the fact that the main info plot was spoiled early in the book (I now know was 35% of the way into the book - I prefer to read ebooks with page and progress status off). The book ends on page 476 according to my ebook. The quote was 'Do you know how many protracted adventures might have been shortened if the heroine stopped to wonder, 'you know, maybe I should look extra carefully to see if the thing I'm searching for has been with me the entire time'?' - page 167 according to my ebook Late to the thread as I didn't read the book at launch.
